My work is customized to the health needs of the individual. Because my practice is education-based, it is important to meet each client where they are in their health journey. I start with foundational concepts in diet, nutrition and physiology and adjust my sessions based on the client’s specific needs, tying in those foundational concepts to their particular health issues.

It is most important for a client to understand the physiology behind their health concern. This puts the responsibility for a person’s health where it belongs—with them. We tend to be more willing to make the necessary changes in diet and lifestyle when we understand why we are making the changes. Teaching foundational concepts and getting to the root of the cause takes time. There is no magic bullet—my practice is gradual and comprehensive.

My favorite thing about this work is when a person has multiple health issues and addressing the first issue results in resolution of other issues as well. It is a healing cascade effect! Nutrition is real medicine.

For dedicated clients, I suggest a discounted program of six visits to start a holistic health journey.

One on One Nutrition Counseling

I offer one on one nutrition counseling with an approach aimed at addressing the source of unhealthy diet and living habits. Intensive counseling sessions will root out long-standing dietary and lifestyle habits that are often the cause of common health problems, including gut issues, autoimmune diseases, blood sugar dysregulation and stubborn weight gain. With the judicious use of specialized advanced lab testing, health mysteries can be solved. I serve clients nationwide and can accommodate consultations in person, by phone or via Skype sessions. Bring a notebook and be prepared to work!

In this three week comprehensive workshop (approx. 7 hours), we cover many aspects of sugar consumption and addiction in our culture including:

  • The history of sugar
  • Physiological and psychological effects

Anti-aging

We all want to slow the aging process right? This class addresses:

  • Telomeres- to slow aging you need to keep yours long and healthy!
  • Foods that promote aging and foods that slow aging
  • How to stabilize blood sugar and why it’s important in anti-aging
  • Toxins in our environment including our cosmetics that are known to cause rapid aging

Environmental Toxins and Chronic Disease

Most of us prefer not to think about toxins in our environment. Unfortunately they’re here. This class is extremely important to learn how ubiquitous toxins are. You might be shocked to learn we have over 80,000 toxins that are a part of our environment.

Public Speaking Engagement

I am available for health-related presentations. I have spoken at health conferences, work environments, as well as social gatherings including church groups. I will address the latest health topics and concerns and motivate people to change for the better.

I offer informative presentations on several nutrition, health and healing topics, including:

  • Understanding fats and the role they play in our metabolism and energy regulation (what are healthy fats versus bad fats)
  • Blood sugar dysregulation, how to reverse diabetes through diet, and how to prevent diabetes

I believe our diet is the most important thing we can change to improve our health. This is because whole, nutrient-dense foods are the substrate that heals us. What are nutrients? They are bits of information that speak to our DNA which instruct our genes. If we want our genes to express in a beneficial and positive way, we need those nutrients! Can our foods give us all that we truly need? Sadly, studies are showing that our soil is lacking in many of the nutrients that plants and animals take up, and that means our foods are much lower in nutrients than even 50 years ago. This is due primarily to chemical-based farming practices.

Always choose organic, non-GMO produce and grass-fed, pasture-raised meats.
